About Me

I am an advocate for neuro-affirmative care, and it is important to me that therapy is accessible. I believe that everybody deserves support, and I will always try my best to help you find the answers, even if that means signposting to another organisation.

I am a person centred therapist, and I’m also trained in creative methods which means that if you would like to draw, act out or even play a board game to help your process, then we can. I will never force you to work creatively if this is not something you are comfortable with. Person-Centred is about following your lead. I may suggest ideas where appropriate, but I can’t tell you what to do.

If you’re unsure about the different types of therapy, I get it, there is a lot and there is also a lot of confusing opinions on what each one means. That’s why I offer a free call (up to 60 minutes) where we can discuss the support you need, and I will try to help you understand some of the different styles of therapy, so you can find someone that suits you.

Some of the issues I have experience working with is:

  • Bereavement
  • Terminal illness
  • Childhood Trauma
  • Domestic Abuse
  • Coping with illness
  • Understanding neurodivergence
  • Low self-esteem
  • Anxiety
  • Emotional based school avoidance
  • Managing anger
  • Emotional regulation

Like many others in this profession, I wanted to be a therapist to help people. I was sceptical about therapy when I first experienced it, and so I understand when people say that they don’t think it is for them. But, having had therapy myself, I really do feel that with the right therapist, you can make a load of difference to your life. There is certainly a stigma about what therapy is, but there are different types of therapy, so I implore you to have a look at different modalities and try not to feel put off if the first person you meet doesn’t quite work for you.

Work History

I have been practicing since 2021. I worked my placement with Sunflowers in Liverpool which is a charity that supports people who are experiencing cancer or long term illness.

Following this, I worked for over 4 years in YPAS in Liverpool as part of their Seedlings team. This is a service that provides one-to-one support to children across primary schools in Liverpool.
